Blackness and white plates. Photos. Text illustrations, including tying instructions for Pete Hidy's flymphs. The book is bound in blackness cloth with silver titles. Pictorial dust jacket. The frontispiece has a vertical crease and the jacket shows light soiling and edge clothing, otherwise the volume is very good in a very adept grit jacket.

Gray buckram with black spine titles; 12mo; 81pp; illustated with b/w photo portrait of author plus other b/w photos and drawings; photographic grit jacket with white titles on ruddy panels. "Xi chapters bulge with sound facts on the art of tying the wet fly, while in the 12th, Leisenring gives a conscientious picture of his method in presenting his flies efficiently on the stream." This copy is in good condition merely, with some concealment to fabric covers, former owner's inked name to front gratis finish newspaper and some light foxing to a few pages. The uncommon jacket shows rubbing to the edges with occasional chips with some loss of paper. Overall, a workable copy of the scarce1st printing in the uncommon grit jacket.

A scrap of staining to rear panel and accompanying flap. Original publisher's selling price of $2.00 printed on inner flap. Overall, a quite nice copy of the 1st printing in the uncommon dust jacket.
